Elite Training
This program caters for elite and aspiring elite players who wish to compete at regional, state, national and international levels. It is conducted by a Tennis Australia Certified Advanced Level Coach, specialising in elite training. This highly individualised program is costed at the hourly private lesson fee and follows three stages.
- Stage 1:
- Initial assessment technical (1-2 hours) physical (1-2 hours) tactical and mental (1 hour)
- Stage 2:
- Goal setting
meeting held with player and parents (2 hours)
annual periodisation plan drafted (2 hours) - this is a player development plan covering the next 12 months that includes technical, physical, tactical and psychological development. Progress is measured by regular testing (fitness) and competition performance in tournaments written into the program. - Stage 3:
- Player development Periodisation plan implemented to attain and exceed goals - includes up to 8 hours training per week (dependent upon player's age and physicality), comprising private coaching, group coaching, physical fitness sessions and match play.
Fitness sessions are developed in association with sports-specific training specialists at the Beach Lifestyle Club, a Cottesloe-based private gym.
